Working wireframes for the next-version Egan UI. Mood is Foundry-coded — institutional, panel-disciplined, analytical. Wireframes are monochrome; brand color decisions follow. See CONTEXT.md for design constraints and decisions.
Today's IA mixes user workflows (Sales, Benchmarks) with internal tooling (Node Management, Data Quality, Settings) in the same sidebar. The knowledge graph is fragmented across three sections. The home page is a database admin panel. v2 collapses 9 sidebar sections into 5 intent-oriented ones.
What changed, what to act on. Not 10,000 nodes! 50,000 edges! — the v1 home reads as a database admin panel, not a tool.
The graph IS the differentiator. Taxonomy and Compliance become views into it, not parallel concerns.
Pipelines, Import, Quality, Admin — demoted but not hidden. Stops admin chrome from interrupting user workflows.
Home / today view. Replaces the v1 stats dashboard. The identity-defining page — sets the visual register for the v2. What changed, what to act on, what's queued.
The spine. Reorganized so the graph anchors the Knowledge section — Taxonomy and Compliance become views into the graph, not parallel features.
Account [id] view. The primary Quanta workflow — the "money page" where value gets delivered to the user. Tests the Accounts section.
Reference-data browsing pattern. Frameworks → controls → gaps. Tests how the Knowledge section feels for non-graph navigation.
Workflow / document pattern. Building something inside Egan, not just browsing. Tests the Accounts → Plans flow.
Adds two IA sub-items: Operate › Integrations and Analyze › Similarity. Otherwise everything slots into existing sub-items. Each extends the design system rather than introducing new shells.
Analyze › Notebook. Minimal-Jupyter (cells + output) with a Piggie/Egan function-palette sidecar. Click-to-insert; tight integration with the graph.
Operate › Pipelines. Sources + pipelines list and detail. Form-based config (visual DAG deferred to v3).
Knowledge › Ontologies. Merged designer + browser with read-only/edit toggle. Three-pane: types list / entity editor / live preview.
Operate › Integrations (new sub-item). Connections to Quanta, Piggie, external systems. Status, traffic, auth, audit log.
Analyze › Similarity (new sub-item). Standalone semantic search. "Similar to this" surfaces also retrofit into Account Intelligence and Graph Inspector.
Knowledge › Graph. Adds canvas search overlay, minimap, saved-views switcher, pathfinder mode, comparison toggle.
Analyze › Query. Cypher/SQL editor (reuses notebook code-cell pattern) + results panel + saved queries library + execution history.
Analyze › Reports. Sectioned-document authoring with parameter binding. Shares patterns with Sales Plan (sections) and Notebook (parametrized output).
